SAFETY
We will use a counter ballast system as the main safety system, and there will be only one official line. There will be 3 warm-up ropes with official safety on the competition days. The warm up ropes will be 30m with bottom weights of 10kg. The competition rope will have an 18kg bottom weight.
The Doctor will be stationed on shore 30m away from the competition area. At the competition area there will be oxygen available. There will be a stand by vehicle for emergency transport to the Hyperbaric Medical Center in Dahab.
SCHEDULE
1-3/9 Official training: one dive session each day at Blue Hole. We provide transport, buoys and ropes and we do the set up. The athletes will have to help out safetying each other. We will have minimum 2 persons available for safety during these days.

This year you can compete not only for yourself, but also as part of a team!
A team has to consist of 3 athletes of which at least 1 HAS to be a girl.

ACCOMMODATION
We can arrange hotel rooms or camp rooms close to Freedive Dahab where all the meetings will be and from where the transport to Blue Hole will leave.
Camp price 7€/night single room and 10€/night for a double room.
Hotel room from 18€/night single room and 26€/night double room, including breakfast and AC.
We can also arrange transfers from the Airport in Sharm, 30€ one way.

INFO ABOUT THE COMPETITION

We tried a new system last year, but nothing is as good as the “original” Freedive Dahab Pyramid!(after all we are in
As always it will be the three depth disciplines; free immersion, constant weight, and constant weight no fins, in this order.
This year we will also offer a Static competition on the last day, for those who want it. This result will not be included in the TD result, but will be on the AIDA ranking list.
The competition takes place over a period of three days, 10-12/6 at the famous Blue Hole.
On the 13th there will be the Static competition and in the evening we'll have the dinner and closing ceremony at Rush restaurant and club. (they made us a marvellous buffet last year!)
Depth limit is 90m.

Bottom weight for FIM will be 18kg (counter ballast 60kg) and for CW and CNF it will be 10kg (30kg). There will be 3 warm-up ropes with official safety on the competition days. The ropes will be 30m with bottom weights of 10kg.

The official site where the athletes have to be minimum 45min before their official top is the Aqua Marina Restaurant in Blue Hole. This is also where the athletes will be dropped and picked up by our cars. This is a safe place to leave belongings while in the water and there is space enough for relaxing and changing.
TRAINING
This year the Triple Depth will be 4 days (including the Static), and there will be no official training.
But there will be the chance to train in Blue Hole with Freedive Dahab anywayJ.
We are offering 2 training weeks, 26-31/5 and 2-7/6. The price for a training week is 220euro. This includes 6 days of training at the Blue Hole with 2 dive sessions every day, the transport to and from BH, buoys, ropes and bottom weights and 7 nights accommodation in double room at the Freedive Dahab House or at the Octopus Hotel. (For single room add 35 euro/week). Every training day Lotta, Linda or Kate (the newest Instructor in the Freedive Dahab “family”) will be there to organize, and help with safety and coaching. We will bring out enough buoys and ropes so that there will be never more than 3 divers on each rope at the same time.
HOTEL AND ACCOMODATION
We will use Octopus Hotel as official hotel also this year. This is where the registration and the meetings will take place and also the Static competition. It is located in Mashraba area, on the main street, and it has nice rooms with A/C and a swimming pool. Breakfast is included.
The Freedive Dahab House is located right on the beach and there are three rooms for customers (two double and one triple). If you would like to stay there you need to book soon. Here you have your own kitchen so you can cook you own food.
The Octopus Hotel and the FD House are the official pick-up points during the training weeks and during the competition. If you stay somewhere else you need to get to one of this pick up points.

REGISTRATION & COSTS
As last year there is only room for 40 athletes. To be guarantied a place you need to register and pay the competition fee by doing a bank transfer.
Send your registration to info@freedivedahab.com. You can transfer only the competiton fee or the total amount including training weeks and or/hotel. If you transfer only the comp fee you will have to pay the rest at the registration on the 9/6.
